Lucia is an elderly woman living in San Juan de la Maguana, in the Dominican Republic. When Nikolai met her, her situation made the mission concrete: this is what "the furthest reach" looks like — a real person, a real home that needs building, a real life that can change.
Her story is unfolding in a daily series of short clips — the food, the visits, the work toward a safer home — all filmed so you can follow along from the first day to the day the work is done.
Lucia is the first story, never the only one. She doesn't have her own fundraiser or her own target. She is served by the same general fund as everyone who comes after her — because the mission is anyone and everyone we can reach.
